Music is one of God’s greatest gifts to humanity, and at Pinckard Baptist Church, we believe music plays a vital role in the life of our church.
Our church uses music to sing praises to the Lord and express our thanksgiving to Him. We use music to proclaim the gospel message and reach the hearts of the unchurched. And we use music to come together as a faith family in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior.
The COVID-19 pandemic has put many of our music programs on hold since spring 2020; however, as we are beginning to open up again, we are taking steps to add these ministries back into our regular worship. For the time being, the Adult Choir will be replaced by a smaller Praise Team. We have faith this will only be a temporary measure, but we have no immediate plans to push ahead with the full choral program until our members are comfortable taking part in it again.
Our Praise Team is currently being put together by Bro. Kory. The team will help lead worship at our regular Sunday morning services, and may take part in other special presentations throughout the year. The Praise Team will sing songs ranging from traditional hymns to songs from contemporary Christian radio.
The Praise Team meets for rehearsal weekly; however, this schedule is subject to change week to week. If you are a singer or instrumentalist interested in taking part in the Praise Team, please contact Bro. Kory.
Our Adult Choir helps lead worship at our regular Sunday morning services, and presents seasonal programs and other special presentations throughout the year. The choir pulls from a wide range of musical styles including gospel, spiritual, classical, contemporary, and others.
The Adult Choir is not currently meeting due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The Children’s Choir is our newest music ministry at Pinckard Baptist Church. It is open to all children from preschool through 6th grade.
The children perform an annual Christmas concert as well as other special programs throughout the year.
The Children’s Choir is not currently meeting due to COVID-19 restrictions.
