Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Announcements for the week of April 14, 2024

  • Praise Team/Choir: If you are interested in joining the choir or praise team and helping lead worship, please see Bro. Travis. We rehearse Sundays at 4 p.m., except for the quarterly Sunday when the church council meets.
  • Vacation Bible School: Vacation Bible School will be held this year during the week of June 3-7, from 5:30-8 p.m. The theme this year is Breaker Rock Beach. Please connect with Stacy Woodall to find ways to serve.
  • Guest Missionary Matthew Williams (April 21): Matt is a graduate of the Baptist College of Florida. He is also a U.S. Navy Veteran. He is married to Joy and they have three children, Eva (9), Asher (6), and Jesse (who is already with Jesus in Heaven). Matt has served in the U.S. as a Youth Pastor, Chaplain, and Pastor. He has worked with short-term missions in Brazil for the last 15 years. This summer, he and his family will be moving to Brazil to pursue full-time ministry in villages in the interior that have no one to share the gospel with them. They plan to minister with door-to-door evangelism, backyard bible clubs, and small group discipleship, etc. The Williams family are called to start teaching new areas that have been untouched by the gospel.
  • Mother’s Day Fellowship: Please make plans to attend our Mother’s Day Fellowship on Saturday, May 11, at 6 p.m. More details will be announced soon. Please see Preston Thomley for any questions.
  • Second Quarter Study (Wednesday Nights): In our second quarter study, we are reviewing The Dynamic Heart in Daily Life: Connecting Christ to Human Experience by Jeremy Pierre. Dr. Pierre was one of my biblical counseling professors and this is a must read and study. I have secured 20 copies of the book and ask for each participant to pay $10 (deeply discounted). If you would like to participate but are not able to pay the $10, please see me — don’t let the cost deter you.
  • Mission Trips:   By using the North American Mission Board, our church is ready to assist Brothers and Sisters in going on 2-14 day mission trips. This assistance is in logistics, coordination, and even financial. We are thrilled several members are planning on mission trips in coming months. If you feel called and/or interested, see Jim or Esse Muskopf, or Chris Smith. Visit for information about a variety of short-term domestic and international mission trips. In addition, there is a tab on this page which will link you to the Serve Tours weekend trips.
  • Family Advocacy Ministry (FAM):   We are actively implementing this component of our missions ministry. Our FAM ministry is focused on two primary areas of service: First, hosting events through partnerships such as DHR and Alabama Baptist Children’s Home & Family Ministries to serve foster and adoptive families. Second, developing a care community team of 5-8 people who will commit one year of ministry service to an identified foster or adoptive family. If you are interested in serving and would like more information about FAM for Pinckard Baptist, contact Pam Pettus, Joni Smith, or Pastor Chris Woodall.
  • Tuesday Morning Prayer Gathering: Pastor Chris leads a prayer/devotional time at 8 a.m. Tuesdays. During this time, we will specifically seek the Lord’s grace on our church and his power and influence to reach our community. We invite you to join us!
  • Chest of Joash: The Chest of Joash is an ongoing, freewill offering above and beyond your regular general fund tithe. The funds raised through the Chest of Joash will be divided 70% to the building fund and 30% to the general fund. You may make your offering (designated “Chest of Joash”) in the offering box in the vestibule or give now on using the link below:
