Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Announcements for the week of April 18, 2021

It is with great joy that we have resumed our regular Sunday School schedule. Classes will begin at 9:30 a.m., with morning worship following at 10:45 a.m. For the time being, we will continue to limit Sunday evening activities and meetings. Please continue to check this page for the latest scheduling news.

    • Sunday School Classes: As we resume our Sunday School schedule, the following will be the class structure for now. We will reassess as our numbers increase:
      • 1-3 Grade – Stacy Woodall – Education Building
      • 4-6 Grade – Esse Muskopf – Education Building
      • 7-12 Grade – David Loyless – Education Building
      • Adult II Co-Ed – Chris Smith – Education Building
      • Adult III Co-Ed* – Don Snell – Fellowship Hall
      • Women – Beth Ivey – Education Building

* The Adult III Co-Ed Class will, for the time being, include the senior adult men and senior adult women classes combined with the senior adult co-ed class. We will use the 2020 summer quarterly (Proverbs and Song of Solomon) and cover the material through the end of the normal quarterly period. Then for summer 2021, we will use the new summer quarterly to get back on track with the calendar. Any questions, please contact Jene’ Loyless.

  • Youth Fundraiser: Due to COVID-19 precautions, we were not able to hold our traditional spaghetti fundraiser for youth camp participants in February. Instead, we are asking anyone who would like to support the youth to do so through a love offering. Your offerings help defray each participant’s individual cost of attending camp, allowing more students to attend this important evangelistic and missions-focused event. Please designate your offering as “Youth Camp” or click the button below to give now using Tithe.ly. If you have any questions, please see David Loyless.
  • Outreach: Our next organized outreach will be Sunday, April 25, at 4 p.m. We will have several ministry opportunities which include Easter invitations to those in our community, care outreach to shut-ins and senior adults, visiting individuals on your heart, as well as cards and notes for senior adults (for those who are more comfortable staying at the church).
  • DBA Adult Choir Fest:  The association’s annual Adult Choir Fest has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 29, at 6:30 p.m., at the Ozark Downtown Amphitheater. Everyone is invited to bring lawn chairs for an evening outdoors worshipping through our associational choirs and praise teams. Alternate indoor location will be Ozark Baptist, in the event of inclement weather.
  • Bible Reading Marathon: The 2021 DBA Bible Reading Marathon in Downtown Ozark is May 2-6. Our slot is Tuesday, May 4, from 9 a.m. til noon. These are 15 minutes slots. You are welcome to sign up for one or more. Signup sheet is on the Lord’s Supper table in the sanctuary.
  • Mother’s Day at Pinckard Baptist: The Men’s Ministry will be leading a Mother’s Day family event on Saturday, May 8, starting at 5 p.m. This will be an outdoor event, but the Fellowship Hall will be open as well for those who prefer to eat and fellowship inside. We will have some games and activities for the family to enjoy while we eat and fellowship. We will have some chairs and tables set up, but you may also bring your own lawn chairs. There are two signup sheets that we need completed. The first is for attendance signup, letting us know that your family plans to attend, and how many. The second is for me to volunteer to help set up, prepare, cook, and serve. Please see Chad Bagwell for more information.
  • Baby Bottle Boomerang: We will be participating in the annual Baby Bottle Boomerang fundraiser for Dale County Sav-A-Life ministries. Bottles will be distributed on Mother’s Day, and you are encouraged to donate your change, cash, or write a check for Sav-A-Life. Online giving will also be made available. Bring your filled bottles back by Father’s Day, and we will turn them in. Sav-A-Life is a pro-life agency which ministers to those who are pregnant and provides services for them.
  • Wednesday Nights: The adult Wednesday night gathering has resumed our study on From Creation to Covenant and will instead spend time together in prayer earnestly seeking God’s grace, favor, and revival. The adults who are not committed to teaching classes will still gather in the sanctuary at 6:30 p.m. Youth and Children classes will continue to meet as normal.
  • IT’S COMING! VBS 2021!! VBS will be held at Pinckard Baptist June 7-11 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Please see Stacy Woodall for ways you can serve and participate!
  • Montana Mission Trip: The DBA will be taking part in a mission trip to Montana Aug. 31-Sept. 7. If you are interested, please contact Bro. Jim or Kim at the DBA office to register. The cost is $100, and a deposit is required by the end of April to secure plane tickets.

  • Giving: In this time of social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it remains important for each of our members to support Pinckard Baptist Church through continued giving. Please visit the Giving section to see a list of ways you can continue to give your tithes and offerings while we are unable to meet together in corporate worship, or click the button below to give online now using Tithe.ly.

  • Care Outreach and Prayer Meetings: Our regular Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening prayer meetings and Sunday evening Care Outreach are canceled until further notice. We ask each of you to please continue to reach out via phone, email, or social media to your “one” and join us in intercessory prayer for this effort, and pray that this pandemic will soon come to an end so that we may once again come together as a faith family.
  • Who’s Your One?: I want to encourage you to identify your “one” and make a commitment to pray that they would come to Christ and connect with our church. Additionally, ask the Lord to use you in reaching them!
